Through CloudData Management, the company provides a single software platform that delivers backup, instant recovery, archival, search, analytics, compliance, and copy data management features across data centers and clouds. Through Polaris, the company organizes a client's business information that aims to make it discoverable and usable. Through Mosaic, Rubrik provides a NoSQL data management solution. Rubrik was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in San Francisco, California.

Rubrik announced in January 2023 a significant milestone, surpassing $500 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) from software subscriptions. The company's impressive net dollar retention rate of over 140 percent further demonstrates Rubrik's success in retaining existing customers and expanding its customer base.

Rubrik valuation

The company has raised over $550 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including Bain Capital, IVP, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Kevin Durant, Greylock Partners, MicroVentures, Next Play Capital, and Khosla Ventures. Per company press releases, Rubrik last raised $261 million in January 2019 at a post-money valuation of $3.3 billion. As of July 2023, the valuation is around $4.5 billion.
